We are delighted to announce the release of EMED Group’s Quality Account for 2023-2024.

As an organisation, we maintain a strong emphasis on safety and quality across all our divisions and are committed to proactively improving the well-being of our communities. This commitment is evident in our policies and processes, which support our activities and are assessed for their impact.

Our Quality Account is a reflection on how we have improved the overall quality of our services and a look forward to the coming months and how we will continue to improve.

Despite undertaking the complex process of integrating our two legacy businesses over the past 12 months (E-zec Medical Transport Services and ERS Medical), we are particularly proud to report a positive improvement across all our identified key performance indicators (KPIs), including:

  • Reducing staff churn rates by ~40%.
  • Supporting discharge flow across over 300 unique points of care every single month.
  • Supporting ~14,500 unique patients every month to get access to planned treatment.
  • Saw the average age of our fleet drop from 4.0 years to 3.1 years – Demonstrating our commitment to reducing carbon emissions and improving patient safety and comfort.
  • Increasing activity across our newly established Safe Care and Community Care Divisions

As a provider of transport services to the NHS and local government, we take immense pride in our commitment to excellence. However, we recognise we have more to do, particularly to embed our approach and support the transition to the principles that underpin LFPSE and PSIRF.

We remain focused and dedicated to this throughout the coming year.
